1/12/10 - Chi Phi Sigma responds to the cries of Haiti...

Aid for HaitiAs you may know, many people have lost their homes and lives due to the severe earthquake in Haiti. We have all seen the damages of homes, business and families as a result of this disaster. It is devastating to see how the beautiful people of Haiti have been robbed of everything especially the most essential items needed to survive such as food, water and clothing as a result of the earthquake. In a country were 80% of the population was poor or unemployed prior to the earthquake, Haiti was described as one of the poorest country in the Western hemisphere. As an organization rich in many cultures and many of those cultures from the Caribbean including Haiti it is heart breaking to see what they are going through and therefore it is our honor to do everything we can to reach out and help them as much as we can.

We are currently hosting a mission trip and donation drive called “Aid for Haiti” in collaboration with many other businesses and groups across the country. Our goal is to raise $50,000.00 to take food supplies and clothing to the homeless families that are severely affected by the earthquake. We believe that every dollar donated will help motivate and restore the faith and lives of many families. We acknowledge that with the shift in the economy and high prices it may cause you to be reluctant to give but we appreciate your thoughts and contributions regardless of how small it may be.

We the members of Chi Phi Sigma 1st Caribbean Fraternity & Sorority, Inc. feel obligated to raise funds to help brighten the lives of those people who were brutally affected by this natural disaster. Please help us fundraise by contributing whatever you can to this cause.

Donations can be made by checks, money orders, or credit card on our website. To mail donations please email us at aid4haiti@chiphisigma.com

Thank you in advance for your support.
