Community Service

Colaborated Events:

Prudential Financial Companies - "Community Service Day". Members resourced food supplies and clothing in large quantities to assist the poor in in many villages of Haiti due to their improvished economy.

Lincoln Lodge #62 P.H.A - "Thanksgiving Drive". Members volunteered their time to serve the poor of many communities by cooking and delivering food to homeless shelters and orphanages.

Women Aware, Inc - Members volunteered to help build beds for the woman's domestic violence shelter

Metropolitan Ministries - Members collectively purchased canned and dried goods in large bundles and donated them to their food shelter to be dispersed to the less fortunate. We then aided in the packaging and loading of the goods into the trucks for delivery

Personal Energy Transport - "Volunteer to build"participated in various tasks to assemble 3-wheeled, hand cranked wheelchairs that would be delivered to handicap people living in poverty around the world. Activities included painting, welding, assembly, packaging, and prep for shipment of the wheelchairs

Meals on wheel - Members would pick up meals from various churches around the Tampa Bay area to be transported to individuals unable to attain food by their own means. Via a map provided by the church we would deliver the meals to various residences in the neighborhood utilizing our own transportation.

Advocate Events:

Hurricane Gustav in HaitiMembers collectively gathered clothing, food and donation contributions to aid and assist communities affected in Haiti after the disaster hurricane in 2008. "West Indian Labor Day Parade"

West Indian Day ParadeMembers of our organization actively participate in the celebration of the West Indian Labor Day Parade to help promote our culture. We proudly represent our different nationalities (Tribes) as a union to emancipate the endless fight for diversity. Every year within this celebration we select a theme to advocate. For 2009 our theme targets "Crime in the Caribbean".
